"The real pièce de résistance, however, is “Getting Married Today”. With an ovation-worthy performance by Matt Rodin (hilariously accented by Marina Kondo as the Choirgirl), this song transcends its former self and, frankly, the show as a whole...This number alone will make it worth the ticket price." - by Christopher Lloyd Bratten on August 2, 2024 in Theater-Los Angeles,Theater-Regional,Tours
"... where Kondo really makes her mark is as the Priest who, despite intoning ethereally, hilariously appears out of all corners in Jamie’s (Matt Rodin) residence, including from the fridge, taunting him unceasingly, just as he tries to subdue jitters..." - by Imaan Jalali in LA excites
"Marina Kondo brought the house down with their zany rendition of ‘Getting Married Today" - by Andrew Child in Broadway World LA
"...but Marina Kondo (Priest) and Matt Rodin (Jaime) nearly stole the show in “Getting Married Today”. I don’t think I have laughed that hard in the theater ever, at least not since Book of Mormon. The use of practical sets and illusions continues to shock and delight throughout the number." - by Cori Graham in Social thrills
"Other standouts on stage are Marina Kondo as Susan, happy to divorce her longtime partner, and in a secondary role, as the Priest..." - by Prentiss Orr in Entertainment Central
